Sunny Dunny

The sun reappeared as we headed east to Dunbar. We walked the cliff paths. Marvelled at the variety of ornithology swirling around us. We watched a fisherman perched precariously on the low tide rocks. Three young men leapt repeatedly into the sea from the rocks at the harbour mouth. A small container ship headed for Grangemouth from Tyne docks.

After a sunny picnic we ventured up the medieval closes that radiate from the broad high street. We had never walked this route before as all our previous visits had centred on the harbour.

We really enjoyed our leisurely visit. Despite the sun the town was not busy. My photo shows the statue of Dunbar’s most famous father figure, John Muir. An appropriate image for Fathers’ Day. I also received a very touching Grandfather’s Day card from Gloucestershire!
