Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Watch the birdie!

After church this morning I decided to drive down to East Lothian. I headed for Smeaton one of my favourite garden centres and cafés. I stopped off at the craft Market at East Linton May on the way and had a good wander around there. Onwards to Smeaton and I was in luck, a couple of tables out in the sunshine became free just as i arrived. I relaxed at one with my kindle and a pot of tea, watching the birds, till my lunch, a very tasty ploighmans arrived. This chaffinch was very keen to have his picture taken posing beautifully and singing to attract my attention.
I wandered through the gardens and managed to restrict my purchases to some reduced price sprouting broccoli. I've not really got room for anything more in the garden so I'm going to have to be creative when finding it a spot.
After lunch I drove back via North Berwick, admiring the Bass Rock which must be at its whitest about now.
I decided to avoid the bypass on my way home as it had been very busy clockwise on my way out and I didn't want to end a lovely day's outing sitting in a traffic jam.
I'm hoping to watch the next episode of Rebus this evening. They are 90 minutes long so fill the evening nicely.
Keep safe and well everyone.
