Self seeded from last year

Last year the City Corporation planted  large grassy areas with wild flowers, both to cut the cost of cutting the grass and provide a boost to the bee and other insect populations.
They have left these same areas unseeded for nature to take it's course and so far it seems to be doing OK.
There are about 40% of last year's flowers so far and this may well improve over the next couple of months.
