March Daily Challenge - Tasty - Rest in Puss

Day 14 of MissyMoo's March daily challenge - Tasty: This is the perfect excuse to eat something particularly delicious today, right?

I am currently working with someone who is about to move out to Singapore as her husband has a new job out there. They are in the process of trying to rent their house while they are away and also disposing of all sorts of things. They have 3 cats and a gerbil to sort out. 2 of the cats are to travel with them, the third cat spends most of its time at a neighbours, and is to stay with them. Which just leaves the gerbil.

This afternoon she took a phone call from the estate agent handling the rental, who reported that when he went there today to show prospective tenants around he found the gerbils cage on the floor, door open, no sign of the gerbil, but one very smug looking cat. She decided that it might be worth calling home before collecting her daughter today, to check for any legs or other pieces that could be lying around somewhere.

The problem of what to do with the gerbil may have been resolved, and the cat may have had a tasty snack.

Rest in Puss, Gerbil.
