A sea of blue
On Thursday I posted a photo taken at Seamill and today I was back on the west coast at Largs. The sea was still turquoise and I’ve now discovered why. Apparently it is caused by a coccolithophore bloom. It is naturally occurring and although not uncommon around the UK it is rare in these waters. This photo is looking towards the Isle of Bute and the Cowal Peninsula and hopefully you can discern the colour of the water.
