We got there..,.

... in the end! Sati, as we call her, told us we’d arrived at our destination... several times actually. In the end, a good old map was the answer, then we reprogrammed Sati and there we were.

We had joined our niece Lucy and her husband Dennis and several other friends and family on both sides to remember those within the families who had died within the last 15 months. For Lucy it was her mum, David’s sister -in law Jill, and for Dennis, his father, and for both, a very special friend. None had had proper funeral services and so today we celebrated them all through photographs and lots of memories.

We were in Pulborough so of course popped to the seaside at Worthing on the way home where my parents lived in their retirement.

Today my dear dad would have been 101. Our younger son was 39 today. My extra, Esmée helping Daddy unwrap his present, a paddle board!

A very special day.
