Crackcover

Ah yes, the interesting job of papering ceilings.  

Not much subtlety in picking the paper at B&Q: ok, so which one looks like it'll hide the cracks & bumps best? 

I was entertained by a small mark on the ceiling (it doesn't take much).  Measuring up a width of an inch or so narrower than the paper for the end strip, I was about to make a corresponding pencil mark - and found one in exactly the place already.  

Happy to know my methods are 'old school'; that previous paper must have been there since the 70's at least :o)
