Magnificent Seven
I can't tell you how much joy it gave us here to see one of our pheasant mums bringing in her brood of seven tiny little chicks to the feeder here. Well done her and Phillippe who has tended all his family brilliantly over the year.
They normally have 12 eggs with only a 40-60% nest success and 50% rate of survival. They are prey for owls, hawks and foxes many of which are at large here so, so far so good.
A busy morning doing a photoshoot for a shop and cafe garden which was fun!
