The Dapper Mongoose

No idea where the name came from, it’s an excellent pub/eatery that probably doesn’t need much advertising. The promotional mural is new, or else I haven’t noticed it before. It caught my eye as I walked to the post office in Newlands, and then to the equally excellent Newlands Bakery for rhubarb and apple shells. I am quite an expert on these tasty morsels and the Newlands Bakery ones are made of the usual cold water pastry shell, and unusually  a sweet short crust top.
First yoga practice with J in a long while, well worth the wait to get a place. Much emphasis on mental well being, full yoga breathing and a series of expertly led hip stretches. Pleasantly sleepy this evening.
