What's this?

I hear you ask. The answer is provided in the extra. The main picture is the dried flower of the Fremontedendron shrub which was  removed from the stem. It was quite hard and reminded me of the dried pod of a Sweet Chestnut.  The flowers are quite robust and have a slight waxy feel.
