Mytholmroyd

The River Calder flows through Hebden Bridge and the nearby village of Mytholmroyd.  After devastating floods in 2015 and 2018 the Environment Agency agreed to spend £35m  on the Mytholmroyd Flood Alleviation Scheme.  This is the River Calder in Mytholmroyd today with its retaining walls highered and the river bed cleared and widened.  Similar works in Hebden Bridge are due to commence this year.
