Pancake day failure!

My very first pancake day! I didn't even know this existed, but apparently it is a very big thing in England!
Me and my friends had nice tacos for dinner and after that we wanted to make pancakes. We were baking them with the door open, which was not a good idea as the fire alarm went off in the whole building! Everyone had to leave the building and wait downstairs for 20 minutes till someone could turn off the alarm. The smoke detectors in the building are very sensitive and this happens often. We were very embarrassed and it ruined our feeling for pancakes, but we could laugh about it in the end! What a failure!
