San Andrés de Valdebarcena

Romanesque (12th century) church of San Andrés de Valdebarcena. An assortment of photos, in the main and extras, of the main entrance - the west entrance.
I´m told the row of small carvings in a line above the doorway represents Adam and Eve and the Tree of Life, among other things.
The damage to the capitels, shown in the 1st extra, may result from the Civil War, when a number of churches were attacked, and some badly damaged, in reprisals for the Catholic Church´s support for Franco.
I´m finding a problem posting some of the extras. I´ll come back later and try again.
The hyperlink will not function but the church is described, with additional photos, on wikipedia under San Andrés de Valdebarcena
