Garsington

Apologies for another belated posting - same reason as last Sunday.   We went to a country house opera at Garsington.  The main difference was that on Sunday it was 27 degrees and sunny, and we were seeking the densest shade.  Yesterday it was 12 degrees and pouring with rain, and we were seeking shelter.  Even in the rain, the garden looked beautiful if somewhat battered.  It was my favourite opera, Eugene Onegin, but it was a rather bleak production with no attractive characters.
