Down And Across

Thunder rumbled in the distance, the sky overcast and not offering much light or contrast. I didn't think I would make this image work, but I quite like how it turned out.

I think the soft shapes of the horizontal waves on the right contrast nicely with the vertically orientated reed reflections. The few reeds and the insect add a touch of reality in an upside down world. The 50/50 space division is challenging.
