Friends or Food?

I think this is a Little Bittern (Ixobrychus minutus), please correct me if I'm wrong. It approached a load of turtles on the log, at which point they all jumped in the water. It stood, watching their heads bobbing up, and eventually two of them climbed back up, which seemed to intrigue it, but eventually wandered back up the log, presumably looking for something more edible.

Gratefuls:
- decent amount of rain, unexpected, but oh so welcome, and cooler temperatures
- kitten purring between my back and the chair (what's wrong with a lap?)
- Mike making progress on the porch
