Cones caught by the sunlight

We think this is a Noble fir, the number of cones vary each year, this year is looking good. I’m as much impressed by the number and size of cones as I am by the zoom lens on the Panasonic compact.

Extra taken from the bridge looking towards the church, Boomerang and I hung over the bridge watching for a fleeting silver appearance of fish in the Bellart although too quick for a capture. A fascinating occupation ..........
