Tatting

If anyone had asked me a week ago about Tatting, I think I would have said it was a sort of lace making, maybe using a shuttle and quite complicated. That’s all I knew. 

Then last Friday Anne showed us how to do Tatting using a needle, so we could use it on that week’s tag. I ordered some Tatting needles - really long - and when I got home I had a go. Her demonstration, combined with some instructions online, and I learnt the basics - just knotting on a needle really. I sort of worked out the more complex bits of joining pieces and then I made the tag on the right. I got quite absorbed in the process and made some more pieces - so I now have two tags and don’t know which to use. I will probably carry on and produce another one altogether. Another skill acquired.
