The Deluge

A whizzing shopping trip up to Oxford Street. What a sad and sorry sight it is. So few punters. Yes, perhaps we buy too much stuff but what are the implications for the retail and property economies.

Round the corner in South Moulton Street it is even more thought provoking. A once thriving, upmarket and attractive small shopping street is now about half unoccupied. Shop windows empty. What's going to happen to a hollowed out West End?

And then the downpour came overhead. At least I got a photo although I was soaked in the process, standing in the middle of the street.
