Building Sn3 and N Worlds

Carpentry shop is complete and planted

Finally - the carpentry shop is complete.  I do have some leafy trees drying that will get planted, but the scene is close enough to blip.  An odd business combination of caskets and furniture, but the prototype building was exactly that.  Not really located in Dolores but was in a town west of Denver - close enough.

All the buildings in the scene are from Wild West Models.  Really fun kits to build.  The roof trusses on the shop were a challenge - but in the end they are in.  The power house (extra) was actually left over from a different WWM kit, as is the outhouse.  The helper is shoveling the delivered coal a bit further into the shed. Yes - the outhouse is busy - one of the cowboys from the adjacent stock pen is "borrowing" it.

After I plant the trees here, the next project will be on the N scale layout.  I am going to install some Frog Juicers to six turnouts that have been a bother for YEARS.  About time to fix them.  The Frog Juicer is a neat board that senses the direction of the turnout electrically and then routes the right power to the frog. No more stalls with the small locos.  The dead frogs were another present I got by reusing old technology switch motors.
