Leeds Liverpool Canal

We drove up to North Yorkshire today . A good journey with a couple of stops along the way . The A59 from the M6 is an excellent road through some lovely scenery from Clitheroe onwards . We are staying for two nights at a Premier Inn at Gargrave near Skipton .

 After we had settled in, we had a walk along the canal . It was such a lovely evening . We heard a redstart and joy of joys a curlew ! There were also two herons fighting on the River Aire which crosses underneath it .
