A lovely day for a walk

I’ve been to this area many times before but today’s walk was a new one.

We stopped initially at the Rothiemurchus shop for some supplies before starting the walk.

It was a lovely sunny day.

HtP loves trees so we have to stop frequently to look at them and take photos.

We stopped by a river for our lunch. HtP likes the challenge of trying to walk/jump across stones to get to a view point in a river. I’m more of a wimp. He missed his footing on the way back and ended up with a wet boot.

See the extra for the Heath spotted orchid and the red squirrel that visited the nut supply by the lodge. Just before that the duck had knocked on the door to tell me that they’d eaten all of the food.

And we’ve had haggis, neeps and tatties for dinner. It was yummy.
