Vietnam

One of the girls in our walking group organises a monthly walk called “Eat Your Way Around the World”, given that we’re unable to travel the world at the moment because of Covid.  We usually walk around 10k to a restaurant and quite often we walk home as well.  Today’s walk was to Vietnam, specifically to a restaurant in the Britomart Quarter called Café Hanoi.  The weather was kind to us, the restaurant had a good atmosphere, the food was tasty and those who walked all or part of the way home stopped for coffee at the Akarana Yacht Club where we were excited to see Peter Burling and Blair Tuke of America’s Cup fame. The blip shows a view of the restaurant and a cup of Vietnamese coffee brewing.  The coffee drips onto a layer of condensed milk in the bottom of the cup and the two are then mixed together with a spoon.  Much too sweet, so not for me.
