A day at the beach .
I was going to use the title" a day at the seaside," but the sea was so far out that it was out of sight .
When we left Blackburn the sky was overcast but at the coast the sky was the clear blue of summer and the sands golden . We got home to the same overcast sky however, it then cleared and we have had a sunny afternoon and evening. Arthur played in the paddling pool and washed all the sand off, he has been hysterical about having baths for the last couple of months but was willing to step into the paddling pool. today.
Phew!
The other grandparents managed to entice him into the bath yesterday so hopefully he is getting over whatever upset him so. We were all very impressed as he has been so upset , no idea why .
When my children were little we used to camp in a tiny tent and I would fill a paddling pool with warm water at the end of each day . We camped in some beautiful spots and they had some fantastic views whilst they bathed.
I sat in the tent to take the shot but it was too hot to sit in it for long.
I can't recall the last time I felt hot on a British beach ! I liked this shot because it symbolises the lovely relationship that is growing between Arthur and Bramble . They have both been wary of each other since the beginning but trust is growing bit by bit. It has been fascinating to watch them grow accustomed to one another and begin to relax in each others company. Some things can't be rushed .
