A Profusion of Alstroemeria

We arrived home earlier this afternoon having left the Lake District in sunshine.

As usual the first thing I do is have a look around the garden to see what has changed while we were away. The alstroemeria are flowering well and the bigger poppies are now beginning to get fat buds. One flower I missed was a rather special poppy which had a big fat bud when we went away and is now looking very sad. The weather has been so dry some plants are drooping and will need watering.

For some reason yesterday's photos that I took in Ambleside have not downloaded. I will need to backblip them tomorrow.
