Tamaya

Tamaya was the sacred plant worshiped by the Atzalca Indians who lived in an isolated region in South America. Once a year, according to their tradition, the goddess of Heaven came down to earth and the tree was transformed into an attractive young woman with golden hair, a symbol of union between Heaven and Earth.
