Concrete arrived this morning. I knew it was coming with a pump as they couldn’t offload it directly where I needs to be. I was however expecting the usual concrete lorry with some kind of flexible pipe coiled up underneath which they would pull up th drive and an integral pump. Instead we got this massive lorry with a huge crane carrying the tube for the concrete. They swung the crane right over the house to pour the concrete. Separate concrete lorry arrived 20 mins later and was ‘hooked up” directly to the pump lorry so that the concrete flowed straight through and up through the crane. Clever system but very noisy! Needed two loads of concrete so whole process took nearly 4 hours
