Figs!

I was hoping to post something a little more interesting today, but John has gone for what we hope will be his last visit with the foot doctor in what is now our only car and has disappeared into the either which means he's not answering his phone or texts. That is not unusual but It is 95F today and a walk would be pure torture. It is supposed to get hotter tomorrow. 

I was excited to see that there are lots of figs developing on our new tree. I love the leaves and the tree is worth it just for those, but to see that it is going to get figs in its first year is a real bonus. It's really hot outside, especially since our shade is much reduced, so I gave all the plants in pots an extra drink of water before retreating inside to putter....
