Magnolia

The toddlers were great again this morning. One of them gave me a particularly warm welcome.

My magnolia bush has had some flowers on but not many and they've all been a bit scraggy. Now they are going over anyway and all the leaves are out. It used to be beautiful. I'm not sure what's been wrong with it in the last few years. Anyway, I liked the detail of the centre of the flower and the way the petals curved around it. I did a focus stack but I've had to crop it more than intended as the focus stack messed some bits of the petal up. I think this crop works. My garden seems to be an insect free zone at the moment so there wasn't much else to catch.
