The Old Ferry Pier

This is the Old Ferry Pier at Loch Fleet in Sutherland. This is taken from outside the Ferrymasters house. Loch Fleet is three miles south of Golspie on the east coast of the County of Sutherland. This Ferry was used long before cars were on the scene, but it is closed now. Across the Loch is a good beach with sand dunes and Maram Grass. The other side can now be reached by road now, but a lot of summer visitors come to this penninsular for walking and golf and caravan holidays in the summer!
