Day 450 Alan Titchmarsh

Not the famous gardener himself of course but the rose named after him which we have in our front garden.  They are quite hard to photograph as the heavy heads tend to droop downwards and certainly at the moment I can't bend down to snap them from underneath.  This shrub rose was slow to get going when we planted it some years ago but in the past few years has really come on.
In extras, I feature Violet just about to remove her surgical hat ( because she saw me approaching with my camera!) after tending to her dollies.
