Gin Gin

Another travel day today took us from the farm at Miriam Vale to our friends home near Bundaberg. We stopped at a little  place called Gin Gin ( pop 1000) where I did a load of washing and some shopping. While waiting we had a coffee at a local art gallery and gift shop. I loved the building in old fashioned Queensland style architecture. As we were leaving a lady asked if we liked it, maybe she had seen me taking a photo. She said it was the old courthouse and is owned by the police department and they intend knocking it down and putting in a new police station. Such a shame. They are trying to petition the government to stop destroying one of the nicest buildings in town. 

Now we are staying with Jean and Brian. Jean worked with me a few years ago and we got on well so it’s lovely catching up. We have been talking all afternoon and planning the next few days activities.
