Portobello Beach Day 197

The end is nigh ... for Cockenzie Power Station. This twin chimneyed coal fired power station took over from the iconic red brick Portobello Power Station which was demolished in the 1980's. Now Cockenzie awaits a similar fate. 31st March will be the last day that "white smoke" will be seen wafting over East Lothian. Some say that a new Eco friendly plant will take its place. Others talk of a cruise liner port? I will miss the twin stacks as they provide a helpful objective for beach blips.
