Foxes and chickens

So yesterday was a busy day and we were pretty tired at the end of the day.

And our night was one of those dreadful ones - one fox would not leave us and our chickens alone. He couldn’t get in but the hens fussed and squawked all night and the fox kept returning after each attempt to send him off. Ugh.

So I don’t know why but one hen died during the day. She just died. No injuries to see. So I wonder whether the night of constant trauma was too much. :-(

I had to crawl in to fetch her out. It wasn’t nice. And the other hens seem really disorientated. They’re obviously missing her.
