The road home

Another 30c + day. Less humidity and the pool was a delight even at 8am. A trip to Poppi market to buy some clothes. More irrigation connections later, another 100m of drip pipe. Grass cutting. Germany France. Temp cropping up in the bedroom despite shutters, roof insulation and ventilation. 24c tonight so fan on. Have been eyeing up portable air con units but look unsatisfactory. The Boss in Florence where it is hotter still. High pressure firmly ensconced over Germany so no change likely for a bit. Many fireflies tonight, mosquitoes more active, loads of boar and young grazing and grubbing through our unfenced field. It’s a slog and a half climbing the grade at the end of the day from the lower terraces. Luckily there is a pool at the top now to encourage me on.
