Great White Shark

We had been warned of a shark patrolling the north of Scotland, so, when we pulled aside to allow an oncoming vehicle to pass and the driver advised us to stay put, we feared the worst - the shark was upon us.

Occasionally seen cruising the streets of Edinburgh, this particular animal is actually a Quest Velomobile, a type of recumbent trike and thus well-known to Miss Flum who is the proud owner of the red torpedo and was, by coincidence, riding an upright bike along the same road as ourselves so met the shark head on.

Mr Flum and I left them deep in conversation, comparing notes on the pleasures and frustrations of laid back riding.

Edit: Later we were treated to a wonderful sunset, see extra, which gave all four stags in our view a golden glow and briefly generated a triple rainbow, albeit faint.

I'm beginning to enjoy this week!
