Harbour Lights
Had a lovely day. It's been mixed weather with blizzards, wind, rain and sun. I fell over on the balcony in the name of photography trying to take a photo of the blizzard, and smashed my tulip! Other than a dirty coat and that, both myself and my camera were fine. All of this was to much hilarity from my family (yes you, Akasha)!
Akasha and I had a wander through the town, purchasing some java coffee and some olive loaves from Shepherd Purse. We then got giddy and went to Magpie Cafe for a seafood platter and bottle of wine. Nom!
Another bottle of wine followed when we wandered into the Pier Inn (some 50 yards away), and we sat outside with it and kept being congratulated by passers by on how brave we were and having a stiff British upper lip in the face of the intermittent flurries of snow that fell!
Sister and I took our tripods out in the evening and I took this from the cottage balcony. My first proper night shot! I also wandered out onto Henrietta Street and the 199 Steps in my nightie and coat, wearing bright pink wellingtons, to get some other night shots. I looked an utterly eccentric middle aged woman, but who cares!
