I only come across Yellow Shell moths a few times a year, so I pause to appreciate their beautifully patterned wings.

Speckled Wood, Small White, Large Skipper, Small Heath and Wall butterflies were also about.  I saw my first hawker dragonfly of the year too but it didn’t stop patrolling so I couldn’t definitively say which one.
