It’s harder than you think

3 weeks on today was my first trip to the allotment.
I was driven there. I did not a stroke of work, I didn’t even lock or unlock the gates.
I did eat a strawberry and a pod of peas and supervised the cropping of some chard.
If you had asked me I would have said I am perfectly adapted to watching other people work. Turns out I really wanted to be doing some weeding and some watering. I shall continue to resist.
