Chen Wenling is recognised as one of the top 10 sculptors in China today. His "red boy" series has a very strong visual impact. His Games sculpture is one of the favourites at this year's Sculpture by the Sea at Cottesloe.

The eye of the needle is by Jonas Hallberg and Rene Dybdahl Pederson of Denmark. He asks us to step though the eye of the needle into Denmark. Normally on a hot Cottesloe day that would be hard to imagine. Today however was cold, wet and bleak and the step is almost believable.
