We were amazed!

It was so cold in London - shivering cold so the decision we made a few weeks ago to visit Kew Gardens didn't seem quite so appealing anymore in the rain. However filled up on a fantastic brunch at Caravan Bankside we went for it. It did rain and yes the warmest place by far was the Palm House but in general it was so lovely.

But what was amazing was this exhibition taking place Naturally brilliant Colour which was another dimension of wonder and surprise. The curator patiently explained how such phenomenal colours work in nature (prisms?) but I just wasn't quite clever enough to grasp it all* - still it was an amazing feast for the eyes!

Then the long slog home up north but how lovely it was to re connect with family and a city.

* I bought the book explaining it - there is hope yet!
