child labour

We are watering parts of a friend’s very beautiful garden. The more delicate bits/veg are irrigated and watered automatically but we’re tasked with keeping certain precious plants happy. It’s a huge garden and very lovely to wander round it dead heading/watering and chatting to the (plant) residents…. I’m reliably informed they like to be talked to and I’m not about to argue the point.

Eve was surprisingly helpful! She can come again.

Gratefuls:

1. An indulgent lunch;
2. Scaffolding going up without trouble (ready for roof repairs);
3. This lovely garden.
