Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Thank you!

I was out this morning and feeling very windswept by the time I got home. I'd just got in the door when the bell rang and these beautiful flowers, complete with vase were delivered. A thank you and goodbye gift from the charity I have just stepped down from being a trustee for. What a lovely surprise, they quite made my day!
Other than that there have not been many excitements. I went to the church and met a painter to get an estimate for painting the hall, Scotland didn't win at football, I hunted unsuccessfully for a missing key at church. Not quite sure what we'll do without it. Bolt cutters may be needed!
Ali had a very complimentary letter sent about her to the council. She's feeling very tired just now, so that really bucked her up.
Is been rather a dull day today and very windy, I think it's set like this for a couple of days, it had rained overnight so I won't need to go out with the hosepipe tonight, it is most welcome to rain overnight any time.
The garden is coming on, we're harvesting very tasty radishes and salad bowl lettuce.
Tomorrow's big excitement is a haircut, yay! Oh and I got confirmation today that I am expected on Iona. They are open for business, that was real excitement. Oban accommodation the night beforehand and ferries to and from Mull are now booked. Lateral flow tests are in hand. Now, where is my suitcase.....
