Lady's Mantle
Today I chose to play Go-Go Crazy Bones with my son instead of going off to take flower photos. It was more important to have quality time with my special boy who'd had an upset than it was to take a flower photo, so a picture from our non-flowering garden instead.
Lady's Mantle (Alchemilla Mollis - isn't that just the greatest Latin name EVER?) is unfolding and growing daily in our garden. The leaves start as tight concertinas of soft downy green and spread open into these amazing tactile umbrellas. The flower essence is made from its tiny flowers and not these leaves but I love it just as much for its foliage.
Lady's mantle flower essence promotes compassion and love, releasing childhood trauma and is recommended for pregnancy and to aid mothering. Seems fitting for us today.
