Water Iris

........ at least I think that’s what it is ;-)

These plants are amazing ....... more than 25 years ago this actual plant grew in the moist edge of a pond. Then, about 15 years ago, the pond was taken out and this plant ended up ( by accident) in the garage, in a plastic bag for about 2 years ( out of the soil, in the dark and completely dry )
We found it when we were sorting out the garage and were amazed to see new shoots growing out of it ....... so we just planted in the garden where it has thrived and multiplied, putting on a good show of flowers each year ....... in fact it’s done so well that it has been divided a couple of times, so I have it in three places in the garden. Truly a plant that thrives on neglect and I love it ;-)

I’m still struggling with reduced energy levels and tiredness but it has been so incredibly hot and heavy here, I can’t say I’m surprised :-/
