Pitch Perfect .....

A sunny Sunday.
Fed the cattle then Littlemiss nabbed me to help her with a practice tent pitch ready for her D of E trek next week. Haven’t pitched a tent for years , and it was a piece of cake compared to my old tent where you had to screw poles together and crawl inside to prop everything up !
An afternoon spent fitting a new water trough to a field. Have bought a big 800 kg concrete one to try, as the usual galvanised ones don’t last very long these days as the metal is paper thin and they eventually rust through . Hopefully the concrete one will outlast a metal one as it was a bit more expensive.
Spent the day dodging bicycles on the roads as there was a Skinny Tweed cycle thing on all day .They seemed pretty well spaced out so presume it wasn’t a race. Excitement as well as an ambulance / police type vehicle when screaming along the road with the blues and twos going. Presume someone had maybe fallen off their bike !
