milky way

one of our reasons for going to Exmoor was to photograph the night sky. We drove out to a nearby reservoir to try to get the stars reflecting on the water. Unfortunately the milky way was not in the right position (or rather we weren't!) to get a good reflection so took it over some nearby trees instead. It was a completely clear night and I don't think I've seen so many stars before.
