Been rereading Darwin's "The Voyage of the Beagle". Riveting stuff. I don't go in for hero worship but I confess to something very close when it comes to him. When I lived in London I used to go out to Down House and walk round his "thinking path" when I needed some head space and clarity. Not just a great scientist but a great human being.
