a pop of red poppies

It was wonderful to take my usual morning walk with Laney today and see all the changes. The grass is above my waist in the meadow and we saw a mule deer doe happily munching away. The poppies I've been eyeing for weeks have finally bloomed. The snow on mountains has melted off, except for a thin line of white on Pikes Peak. It definitely feels like summer here now!
