The NHS Corridor of Inevitability
A dull, feckless, spiritless day. A day from last Autumn that got left behind but it wasn’t feared to be brazen in June.
In ‘Inpatients’ my mother really appreciated the chocolate cake that CMC took into her; however it’s not on her prescription. After a series of challenging days she faces a big day tomorrow that will decide on the outcome of her future care. She was talking today about getting her navel pierced and asked the nurses for a drop of brandy.
Nil Vermouth.
Earlier I picked up a ray of sunshine in Stromness, clad in a red Fat Face jacket. She climbed into the car and let her feet dangle with great excitement over the passenger seat. She was lucky that she didn’t have to sit in the rear, booster, seat. She indicated that her prescription is red wine. Small wonder her daughters support her annual pilgrimage / homage to the Orcades.
